Carol Atkins to Speak at March Luncheon

Make plans now to attend the March 16, 2006 Women's netWork luncheon at the Tuscan Grille downtown Manistee. March is Women's History month...so we ask you to think about women who have made a positive impact on your life...you'll have the opportunity to talk about them during lunch. Following lunch, we have the pleasure of listening to a video presentation from Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm addressing Women's History Month.

Did you vote in the last election? You will want to thank our speaker, Carol Atkins. Carol was one of many women who spent years working on the campaign to give women rights. No, she is not 150 years old. She is not 125 years old. She is not 100 years old. Women earned the right to vote in the 20s thanks to women like Carol who worked hard for years and through much abuse to give each of us women a very special gift - -- women's rights . Come to the luncheon Thursday and thank her personally!

RSVP to manisteewomen@yahoo.com The cost is $10 and includes your lunch. 11:45 - 1:15pm.
