First Women's netWork Luncheon

The first monthly luncheon of the Women’s netWork will be held
Thursday June 16, 2005
at Topo’s Restaurant downtown Manistee. All business and professional women interested in networking opportunities and professional development are encouraged to attend. This month's presenters are Vanessa Buhs, owner of Renaissance West and Judy Ouvry, general sales manager of Lake Michigan Broadcasting, Inc. This will be our first opportunity to meet each other and begin networking with one another.

These luncheons will be held the third Thursday of each month. If you have suggestions for speakers and presenters, please call Judy Ouvry at 231-723-9906.

The luncheons will be very informal. The cost is $10 payable to Topo’s. They will provide a buffet lunch of their choice. Of course, you could always order off the menu if you’d like.

We hope you will attend the monthly luncheons and use these opportunities to learn, grow, share, and develop your business skills and savvy.

WOW! Over thirty women joined us for our first monthly luncheon - and at least that many more responded they would have liked to attend but their schedules would not allow. Vanessa Buhs did a book review (some of the books are listed in another post here). The women engaged in lively networking and idea sharing about future lunches. Look for opportunities to attend informal gatherings during the month as individual women pull together sessions on various topics of interest. You may hear about a motivational video being played at the library or a financial topic being discussed at the bank.

What a great start! Our next luncheon will be July 21. Wanda Joseph will be the presenter talking about mediation. See you there!

You have shared good information on the luncheon party. Couple of months ago, I arranged my office lunch meeting cum party at one of the elegant corporate event venues San Francisco. It was a grand event and we enjoyed a lot there.
